Add oil to a large pot over medium-high heat. Sauté chopped onions, garlic, peppers and celery. Add in ground meat and cook until no longer pink
Add in sweet potatoes, drained and rinsed beans, both cans of tomatoes, and spices. Stir. Turn heat down to low, cover, and let simmer for about 20-30.
Then, add 1/2 bag of frozen green beans and simmer for about 10 more minutes or as long as you like to let flavors meld (but make sure sweet potatoes do not get too mushy)
Crockpot
Add oil to a large skillet over medium-high heat. Sauté chopped onions, garlic, and celery. Add in ground meat and cook until no longer pink and make sure to break up the meat as you cook
Add in tomatoes, drained and rinsed beans, sweet potatoes, spices, and stir to combine
Cook on low for 6-8 hours or high for 4 hours.
Add in green beans for the last 30 or 40 minutes.
Instant Pot
Add oil to instant-pot and use sauté feature for onions, peppers, celery, and garlic.
Add in ground meat and cook until no longer pink.
Add in spices, sweet potatoes, beans, tomatoes, broth, spices, and stir everything together.
Cook on high for 4 minutes.
Quick-release then mix in the frozen green beans and stir.
Close and cook on high for 1 minute.
Quick-release and serve.
