Creamy Vegan Avocado Pesto

Easy creamy vegan avocado basil pesto sauce that is gluten-free, oil-free, and delicious!

Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup packed fresh basil leaves
  • 1 large ripe avocado
  • 4 cloves garlic
  • 2 tbsp raw cashews
  • 1 lemon juiced
  • 1/4 cup water (plus more if necessary)
  • 1/2 tsp sea salt

Instructions
 

  • Start by adding all the ingredients into a food processor or blender
  • Blend or process on high until the pesto becomes smooth and creamy (add more water if needed)
  • Enjoy pesto with pasta, veggies, fish, steak, or chicken
  • Store leftover pesto in an air-tight container for up to one week
