Ingredients

  • 1 cup almond milk
  • 1 tbsp chia seeds or ground flaxseed optional
  • 2 tbsp cacao powder
  • 1 scoop Vital Proteins Dark Chocolate Blackberry Peptides or your favorite chocolate protein powder
  • 1-2 tbsp almond butter
  • 1 cup frozen mixed berries I use an antioxidant berry blend from Costco or BJ’s
  • 1/2 cup frozen beets I roast them then freeze them in stasher bags
  • 1/2 cup frozen zucchini optional
  • 1/2 cup frozen baby spinach
  • 1 tbsp cacao nibs for topping can substitute mini chocolate chips

Instructions

  • Add ingredients to a blender in the order listed and blend 'til smooth and creamy. At first, this smoothie is THICK, so I often need to add more liquid to get it moving.
  • Add water or milk as needed. Also, you can pause and stir with a spoon to get moving. Top smoothie with cacao nibs or mini chocolate chips as desired.
