How to Set Monthly Intentions
How to set monthly goals and intentions to feel inspired and motivated.
Do you wait for New Years Resolutions or set monthly goals? I set monthly goals and monthly intentions. Goals are what you want to accomplish and intentions are how you want to FEEL
Did you know that our minds automatically focus on the negative? So I train my mind to focus on the positive.
This starts with monthly intentions. I post my intentions on my bathroom mirror and repeat them aloud each morning or throughout the day.
It takes 5 simple steps to write monthly intentions. Post them up to have a daily reminder that guides you towards positive thoughts, words, and actions.
How to set Monthly Intentions
Wanna know a secret? I almost never write my intentions on the first day of the month. I find a few quiet moments to reflect, brainstorm, and create a list. When I’m ready I write my intentions then post them on my bathroom mirror.
- Get comfy and colorful. I like to use pretty paper and pens, but you could create them online too!
2. Reflect on how you want to feel. What areas of your life could use a little extra love? Make a list to brainstorm.
3. Keep your intentions positive. I like to start mine with a verb, I am, or I will.
4. Write them! Have fun make it a list, use BIG words, pictures, or sentences. Keep it around 3-6 intentions.
5. Post them where you will see them each day. Make it part of your routine to read them out loud every day.
