Berry Chocolate Smoothie

A creamy, Berry Chocolate Smoothie that tastes like a candy bar but is packed with protein and is even Whole 30-friendly.

Are you sick of diets that tell you what NOT to eat? Do you feel overwhelmed by food rules? I’ll let you in on a little secret: there are NO food rules you have to follow to get fit and healthy. Your body and lifestyle are unique; you just have to learn what works for you and block out the noise. This delicious berry chocolate smoothie was made while I was completing a Whole 30 detox.

Whole 30 does not approve of eating smoothies, but for my body and lifestyle, smoothies are ALWAYS allowed. Besides, this smoothie has Whole 30-approved ingredients, so it makes Whole 30 work for me. As a bonus, it tastes just like a candy bar but without processed sugar, and it’s made with amazing superfoods. Also, hidden inside this smoothie are 3 servings of veggies, but I promise this smoothie is so rich and chocolatey that you would never know!

You will love Berry Chocolate Smoothie because:

  • So rich and creamy, it will satisfy any sweet tooth
  • Fills you up with no crash afterward unlike a candy bar
  • 3 hidden servings of veggies
  • Packed with superfoods and natural sugars
  • Whole 30-friendly

Berry Chocolate Smoothie is made with:

  • Chia seed: aids in digestion, supports blood sugar regulation, and is an excellent source of fiber, magnesium, and phosphorus
  • Baby spinach: improves skin and hair health, aids in digestion, and can reduce inflammation
  • Almond butter: full of heart-healthy fats, improves skin health, and helps to keep you satiated
  • Mixed berries: fresh or frozen berries work well to add a little extra color, fiber, and flavor
  • Protein: provides satiety and helps to balance blood sugar
  • Cacao nibs or chocolate chips: if you are looking to make this dairy-free, look for chocolate labeled vegan or dairy-free
  • Plant-based milk: you can use almond, cashew, coconut, or macadamia milk
  • Zucchini: excellent source of vitamin A and vitamin C, boosts immunity, and protects your skin

Recipe Tips:

  • At first, this smoothie is THICK, so I often need to add more liquid to get it moving.
  • If you follow the recipe, you can hide 3 servings of colorful veggies inside to make eating vegetables easy. Even better, this healthy smoothie is a rich pink color, so no one will even guess how many veggies are inside.
