Maple Almond Apple Crumble
This simple, vegan, grain-free and gluten-free paleo maple apple crumble is a fall favorite that is easily whipped up for a healthy treat.
Ingredients
- 5 apples
- 2 tbsp coconut oil
- 1 1/2 cup almond flour
- 1/4 cup almond butter
- 1/4 cup maple syrup
- 2 tsp cinnamon divided
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°.
- Dice apples (you can peel them or not—your choice).
- Melt coconut oil and pour over apples.
- Add 1 cinnamon and mix to coat apples.
- Spray a small baking dish, or individual ramekins, with cooking spray and spread the apple mixture evenly in the baking dish or dishes.
- Combine almond flour, almond butter, maple syrup, 1 tsp cinnamon, vanilla, and salt in a small bowl until the mixture becomes crumbly. Add more almond flour if too wet and more almond butter or maple syrup if too dry.
- Sprinkle evenly over the top of the apples.
- Cover dish with foil and bake for 25 minutes.
- Remove the foil and continue to bake for 10-15 minutes until golden brown
