This delicious and refreshing smoothie is the perfect way to start the day, refuel after a workout, or simply enjoy a cool treat on a hot summer day. I always add protein to my breakfast smoothies to help me stay full longer, reach my protein goals, and provide a blood sugar-balancing meal. Need a healthy protein powder? Strawberry Lemonade Smoothie is made with:
- Lemons: high in vitamin C, promotes detoxification, reduces inflammation, and supports weight loss
- Strawberries: high in vitamin C, boost immunity, supports cardiovascular health, and reduces inflammation
- Green bananas: lower in sugar, supports gut health, high in fiber, and high in resistant starch
- Zucchini: high in vitamin A, vitamin C, and can aid in digestion
Recipe Tips:
- I like to use 1/2 scoop vegan vanilla protein and 1 scoop collagen peptides. Feel free to use 2 scoops of collagen peptides or your favorite vanilla or unflavored protein of choice.
- Peel, slice, and freeze bananas while they are still green to get the creaminess without banana flavor. Green bananas also have many health benefits that you can read about here

Ingredients
Strawberry Lemonade Smoothie
- 1 cup plant-based milk
- 1 lemon juiced
- 1 tbsp chia seeds or ground flaxseed
- 1 scoop vanilla or unflavored protein powder*
- 1/3 frozen green banan**
- 3/4 cup frozen zucchini slices
- 1 cup frozen strawberries
- water I usually use 1/2 cup water
- ice as needed
Optional Add-Ins
- 1 tbsp MTC oil for healthy fats
- 2-4 tbsp coconut cream for healthy fats
- 1 tsp maca powder
- lemon zest
Instructions
- Add all ingredients to the blender in the order listed and blend 'til smooth.
- Pour into a glass and enjoy!
- Feel free to add toppings, if desired. I added some grain-free cereal, strawberry slices, and lemon zest to the top of this smoothie.
