In the summer I love a crisp crunchy salad but also love grilling out, so what is better than combing both into a burger and fries salad that is topped with special sauce.

Burger Salad with Special Sauce is made with:

  • Feel free to swap sweet potatoes with white potatoes
  • Make it a deconstructed burger salad by sauteeing the ground beef on the stove instead of making it into burgers
  • Other toppings that would be great include avocado, jalapenos, or shredded cheese
  • Make paleo or whole 30 friendly by using ketchup and mayo with no sugar

Ingredients
  

Burger Salad

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 4 cups romaine lettuce
  • 2 large sweet poatoes
  • 1 red onion I use this recipe to make pickled red onions
  • 1/4 c pickles

Special Sauce

  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise
  • 1/4 cup ketchup
  • 2 tbsp mustard
  • 2 tbsp pickles juice

Instructions
 

  • Form your burgers and set aside
  • Chop sweet potatoes and lightly coat with avocado oil, salt, and pepper
  • Cook sweet potatoes in the air-fryer or oven at 425 until crispy
  • Grill or cook burgers on the stove
  • Chop romaine, tomatoes, and pickles
  • Add mayo, ketchup, mustard, and pickle in a small dish or jar and whisk together to combine
  • Add lettuce to a bowl or plate top with sweet potatoes, tomatoes, pickled onions, pickles, burger, and drizzle on the special sauce
