Easy Healthy Balsamic Chicken is made with:

  • Chicken:  I buy boneless and skinless to make this recipe super easy
  • Balsamic vinegar: A dark flavorful vinegar
  • Coconut aminos: Gluten-free paleo-friendly option, but you can also substitute liquid aminos or soy sauce
  • Olive oil: I use olive or avocado oil for this marinade
  • Garlic powder: you could substitute fresh garlic if you have it on hand. About 3-4 cloves, minced
  • Onion powder: adds extra flavor

Recipe Tips:

  • Making cooking chicken even easier by pounding chicken to make them all the same thickness. Place chicken in a bag, or on a cutting board then cover with plastic wrap and pound chicken with a mallet to the same thickness
  • This marinade is also great with chicken breast or even steak
  • I like to marinate for at least 2 hours for better flavor absorption or for a minimum of 30 minutes
  • On the other hand, don’t over-marinate the chicken or the texture can be altered
  • Cooking times will vary based on the thickness and size of your chicken
