Going on a date by yourself can sound a bit daunting, but who says spending time by yourself can’t be fun? Solo dates are a way to give yourself attention, do things that bring you joy, build self-confidence, and help build a loving relationship with yourself.

A solo date is an occasion to do something nice just for you. It is a time to choose activities that you enjoy, so make it special and plan it into your schedule. Dress up in a way that makes you feel good and stay present in the moment.

1. Go to a bookstore

Get yourself a latte and go to a bookstore to browse for a new book to read

2. Go on a day trip

Go on a day trip in your own city to explore a new neighborhood, museum, or landmark

Light some candles, turn on music, and cook a fancy meal for yourself

4. Home Spa-Day

Plan an at-home spa day-go all out and spend the day practicing self-care with a cozy robe, bath, face mask, journaling and more

5. Plan a picnic

Have a picnic at a park on a warm day. You can pack a meal, read a book, or listen to music. I love to bring a hammock and read by the water

6. Take a fun class

Sign up for a class that sounds fun to you, uch as a cooking class, painting class, or dance class

7. Take yourself out for a treat

Dress up and take yourself out for a fancy dessert or drink

8. Make a dream or vision board

Spend a night dreaming and practicing self-reflection. Create a vision or dream board that inspires you

9. Get active outside

Find a trail near you and go on a bike ride, roller-skating, or roller-blading

10. Craft night

Go to a craft store and pick up supplies to have an at-home craft night and tap into your creative side

11. Start a garden

Plant a vegetable, flower, or herb garden

Have a beauty night to try out new make-up looks or hairstyles. Watch tutorials then try out a new look
